As lead creative with the support of a strong studio and copy team, I concept developed and designed a conversation, starter-pack in order to help both nurses and cancer patients navigate through a complex mode of action.
Questions and Answers about Iressa is a flipchart and booklet, developed in consultation with clinical nurse specialists from Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospital, London. It has been endorsed by the United Kingdom Oncology Nursing Society.
To appeal to mature cancer patients, I developed a well-received, illustration style through the booklet and flipchart. The contents of which explained the use of Iressa. I focused on the typographical layout and styling to ensure communication between nurse and patient was key.
Focusing on the typographical layout and styling, I utilised effective, negative spacing combined with large-structured typeface. The Iressa book and flip chart helps to guide both patient and nurse together through what is otherwise a complex period and often difficult journey ahead.
